its quite brandable. on the boards here, you might be able to get 15-20k. possibly 20-30k in auction and 50k+ to enduser.

I think you got it way too cheap. :) It's a super-rare domain and it shouldn't sell for less than low $2x,xxx.

Stats: jjj.com
Keyword search volume (exact) - 135,000
CPC advertising price - $0.73
Traffic (Compete.com) - 1,721 Monthly

Strengths: very high search volume, has traffic, three letter .com, brandable

Weakness: -

Comparable Sales w/ Stats:
Domain - Sales Price - Date
jtr.com - $88,800 - August 2008
juk.com - $40,000 - June 2008
jok.com - $40,000 - June 2008
mjn.com - $39,162 - July 2008
ynj.com - $18,000 - Sept 2007
asj.com - $15,300 - Sept 2008

Fair Market Value: $25,000 - $50,000 USD
The above value represents the domains fair market value. Keep in mind that certain end users might purchase a domain name for far more or less than its fair market value.

what I quoted at 15-20k is the board price. its a buyer's market right now and it doesn't mean he has to sell at this price.

hhh.com was offered here with trademark protection. highest offer was 15k and it went back to the vault

Sorry, I recall the old marketing of JJJ.com and must admit never liking it even with 3 of the same letters which would normally be a big plus.

A reason is I always had terrible results finding good acronyms for the letter "J" and that is only with one J but with 2 or 3 J's it would seem quite difficult to find good acronym use potential. In fact 3 j's would seem tougher than 1 or 2. Another dubious value letter IMO is the letter "K" where the same problem exists with so few good acronyms using J or K. Unfortuantely after much work with J and K acronyms I believe J's and K's are poor and big negatives but that's just one opinion which may be biased due to my experiences and possibly it's really worth much more than I suspect as indicated by others who like the domain.

I can't think of any acronym's also but possibly companies called "jjj" but one does run the risk of wipo lawsuit if trying to sell eg JJJ INC or in reality http://www.jjjcom.net/ which can be like a hack

Hard to believe they would consider buying jjj.com if they can buy jjj.com.au or some alternative .au name and jjj.com would get confused in AU with jjj.com.au which .au would get traffic due to that.

15-20k realistic..there is such a thing as "too generic" where a domain becomes more of a novelty if it does'nt produce a steady ppc income stream or have interested end-users.

Still a very nice memorable/brandable domain name but not the best letter(s)...good luck. ;)

This NOT the time to sale it, 1-2 yrs ago was the time. Put it on the shelf and when things turn around youll fetch 10's of thousands more.

Very brandable domain. You got it for a very reasonable price. If I didn't miss it when I was in vacation, the final price should be much higher.

Good luck :)

Youd be lucky to get $10k realistically. Im sure many people here will SAY that they would pounce on it at 10k.. but they wouldnt.

That's BS. I'd buy it for $10k right now.

I will buy it for $10k for sure :) That's much less than my original budget on this domain when it's in sedo auction.

ggg.com sold @ $85k last year.

Did not know that but anyway that was last year when market was signficantly better and "G" is a much better letter vs "J" and I am also sure ggg has good potential acronym use.
