I love this eBay statement in the same auction:

As the internet evolves, eBay continues to strike a balance between preserving transparency and protecting our Community of members.
With the implementation of this new policy, there is NO transparency, thus there is NO protection from the scamming sellers...ala John.com and Mike.com.

eBay I think just took a dive on this front.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a listing like this on eBay soon:

Domain has been certified by PremiumDomain.com and is currently developed.

Western union payments accepted within 24 hours after end of auction.

Please check my other domain auctions, including:
i-Awkshuns-On--Line23-Bay.mil

Thanks for your bid. So bid now, if not sooner! Hurry!!

The seller had "blocked" the list of bidders for this auction.

Another red flag was the stipulation that winning bidder must make payment
via paypal within 1 hour of auction closing.

The scammer probably has a connection to Domainpriceright.com as well.

the real owner has it parked. he must be earning enough from that alone to know that it was worth a few 0s more than i bid. of course there are idiots about who have no idea about the value of their assets, but they don't include people who get a few $100 a month from parking companies.

It's 100% scam - read my posts in the John.com thread (I was the buyer on eBay). The second time he listed it I bid $1,000,000 to stop anyone getting scammed. I also got it delisted from the Sedo auction.

Ebay, in its own idiot manner, itself is now blocking bidders. They claim it is a privacy issue. Yup...damn private. Definitely BUYER BEWARE!

Why ebay is letting this troll continue to run his scams on auction is beyond me. He has been reported but still nothing going on.

eBay...thanks for looking out after the buyer! You're a buyer's buddy indeed.

One of the big reasons greeeeedybay did this, was to prevent sales outside ebay, they battled for years with sellers not listing there items and soliciting items to bidders, now they went to the extreme, as a result, ebay has more listings than ever and more are fraudulant, more listings, more cash, its a win win for ebay.

When I want something new or easy to find, I usually buy it Amazon,...love that free shipping!

Agreed. Ebay does not make a penny from buyers that either buy something on eBay or use PayPal (eBay owned). 100% revenue on both sides are from the sellers, not the buyers. So they (eBay) have no incentive whatsoever to protect the bidder.

Unless you consider the fact that continued blunder after blunder will drive customers away.

Unquestionably safe and secure. Even when shopping from an Amazon merchant, Amazon backs the purchase with a 100% guarantee. In all my shopping years on Amazon, I have had to file a claim three times and each times refunded 100%. Once the merchant sent the wrong item, mailed the correct item product and told me to keep the other for my inconvenience. Get that service on eBay!!!

And if you look and dig hard enough, you can find prices at nearly wholesale pricing.

Hmmm....domain name market place on Amazon? Naw, that would just be another opportunity to let the scum in.
