IMO, take any offer above $8. City alone names, i.e. nashville.com, nashville.info are valuable. Combinations with state names are rarely sought after in "normal" TLD's, leave alone .tv.

Agree. I already see .biz in my community, .TV ads and promotion on television, and .US will be hugely successful moving forward. Those who can't see this will naysay to justify their position.

City/state combination names are of interest to local real estate and other businesses. They are very pure and cannot be duplicated with variations. If one is focused on immediate gratification, then alternative non-com's don't make sense to them and they see no value. But with an eye on appreciation, something like NashvilleTennessee.TV is a very good pick-up.

It may be happening already, like with appletv, but I see a future when you will view the internet as you view you tv. The remote control will include the internet. I would think someone somewhere is working on this.

Or is it out there already?

And of course .tv is the perfect fit.

Nashville Tennessee is a great city, also the Capital. Home to country music.

An article in the Wall Street journal tells how Sony has developed a module for their Bravia tv's that will connect to the internet. Cable companies are also working on it.

While $179,000 for Boise Idaho.com was a great sale. The future imo, is just as bright for Boise Idaho.tv (if it's for sale)

Nashville is the capitol of Tennessee, home to the Country Music Awards and the Grand Ole Opery. Has 1,600,000 people within a short distance.

I'll wait for the right end user for Nashville Tennessee.tv

Thats a dotcom and IMO its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced. Lucky seller, interesting risk level for the buyer unless he has a big idea. If he's gonna park... thats a lot of money just thrown down the drain.

You try to speak with authority but you have no basis for your statement. The purchase and roi is more calculated than you imagine.

You do identify parking as a less than ideal alternative. That's a decent point.

If you go to Alexa and type in Boise Idaho . com you will find a link to a New York Times story from 2005 that will tell you about the guy that just bought it. Boise Idaho . tv redirects to Boise Idaho Real Estate.com Same Guy. I would say he knows what he is doing. He owned over 800 domains in 2005. I would guess he owned the .tv long ago. Wonder what he would pay for it today.

there was just a sale- a group of 4 i think, for 700.00 for citystate- so yeah, a bit more than $0 i would say - but none were as popular as yours- i consider yours more high end than those names- we are talking about nashville- if you have not countered or anything yet- i would counter with $900.00, and see what they come back with and settle in the middle.
