Hi everyone. I am interested in opinions on valuations for .nets vs.coms. For example if a .com is worth $100K, what would the equivalent .net be worth?

You input is much appreciated.

Sex .com Reported $12-14 mm sale.
Sex .net was sold for 450k.

Does it answer your question or gives you a valid % base? not at all.
Like always it is case specific, pocket specific, plan specific and a few more specifics :)

That's a good initial proxy. A few more examples and I can probably get a good idea of the % of .net vs its .com

I personally think that .org has taken over .net. I would personally buy a .org over a .net any day....well, depending on the term I guess.

There is no real ratio from a .com sale to the value of a .net.

.me is #1 now!!!

just kidding

------------------

[.com] = omega x [.net]

omega is between 5 and 100

usually between 5 and 10% IMO, really depends on wether the name fits the extension.
for example many forums use .net

It depends.

I think 2 to 15 % of .com value.

Agree and that has been the case for a long time.

.net 10% of .com
