It's a great name - worth low 4 figures.

It's obvious from just this thread that aggieuk, cappuccino and freestyler have alot to learn.

Well, you're so bold in talking about value of PAPUANEWGUINEA.ORG, while

UnitedKingdom.org
Italy.org
France.org
Spain.org
Australia.org
Greece.org
Russia.org
Mexico.org
NewZealand.org
Jamaica.org

are sitting on the shelf undeveloped and wasted???

and yet, we have "lot to learn"?

What gives?

As "domains only" most obscure third world world country org's are pretty much worthless. And when I say worthless, I mean worthless in a sense that it might take you 7-8-10 years to sell a domain like that for maybe a $1,000, if ever. While that might be a yupee-yee event for you (if it is?,) in my eyes it is nothing to get too excited about.

Its extremly rare then any end-user will find a worthy reason to buy it retail from you, and that will only get worse as new and more new extensions are introduced. The only value in the most obscure thirld world country .orgs lies in the faulty perceptions of their speculative owners who think that they are holding a God for "his bollocks," just because they have country .org, and on top of that - a thirld world obscure country(?) (what is the connection with the country name and .org anyway? I don't get it?) and are naively and falsely supporting each others in threads like this, in order to feel better about their "investments".

I am not saying you will never sell the domain itself for the sum it will make you happy, but in this particular case, the odds are stacked very much against you. The only hope, in my eyes that is, is in developing a kickass breathtaking portal. Especially considering that .com version isn't active either...

...because it too has been on sale for the past 4 years...

...but I regress...

I cannot speak for the individual owners of these domains and I haven't the time to check what they are doing with them, but if they are undeveloped they are obviously losing revenue.

As to your latest post with regards to "small" country .org domains, if (and I quote you) "you don't get it", I only need to reiterate my point that you have alot to learn.

Well, since you're "getting it" so perfectly, why don't you buy all these wasted domains I posted above? And if I have to learn, imagine only what their owners have to learn. Then, when you buy them all, you will have a lot of revenues to be happy about yourself, and lot of marvelous sales to look forward to.

While you're at it, check out how England.org is doing, since you're in the neighborhood. It looks like another sickly child. It might need a nudge or two from you in order to learn to breathe and take its first internet baby gasps.

So cappuccino, are you saying any domains that the person hasn't bothered to develop a site on mustn't be worth it then!? That's pretty blindsigheted, there are many great .com or .org's names that don't have current development on them, for many different reasons... doesn't mean the domain is worthless.

I raise your double and offer treble reg :cheeky:

I guess I'm out of the ballpark then lol %+|

I don't mind other people's views at all. I was stating a fact.

Domain appraisals are total speculation! They are not fact at all! Just remember 'one mans rubbish is another mans gold!' (or something??) Not everyone will put a high value on any one particular domain name.

Intersting discussion.

I paid 5 figure for Vietnam.org few month ago.
End user price, this is not for resell.
This seller owned Mexico.org and Thailand.org before. (SOLD)

But if I find Peru.org for sale on DNF, I do not want to pay 4 figure for this.
If $500, I will consider to buy.
If $300,try to buy quick.

My appraisal for PapuaNewGuinea.org
US$5,000 to US$8,000 for end user.
US$70 to US$120 for reseller.

China.org sold around $6,000, I remember (eBay)
Singapore.org sold around $2,700 (WebMagic FIRE sale)

I recommend keep and waiting mail offers.
This is the way for these kind of domains.

Good luck.

Let me get this straight, you appraised PapuaNewGuinea.org higher than what China.org sold for recently???

cappuccino.

You can find WHOIS.
Who own ?
Now you know.
Most end user is not domain professional, so they pay so much for thier business or something.
Sometimes, professional also pay much for. But not for resell.

My appraisal for China.org
US$35,000 to US$50,000 for end user.
US$5,000 to US$10,000 for reseller.

My appraisal for Singapore.org
US$12,000 to US$15,000 for end user.
US$1,500 to US$3,000 for reseller.

I will pay $300 to $500 for Peru.org for resell. May be someone willing to pay $1,500 or more for resell.Because I do not have a passion for Peru. But some trader have a passion for or have a business relation.

PapuaNewGuinea.org, I am sorry for cyphix, but I do not buy if asking price is $50.
Because I can not write this name without dictionary. But some DNF member will buy if US$70 to US$120 range I think, so I wrote appraisal.
