Would be interested on opinions as to the value of Prefabs.com

Established site with great SE rankings, but would like some ideas on value of the domain alone.

£2,000 region for the domain. I don't think it would command a much higher price because 'Prefab' is the category defining term.

It's difficult to value only the domain when there's potentially mid £xx,xxx attached with the website and search rankings.

Nomzo is being very generous with those valuations I think (both site and domain - especially considering we know nothing about site traffic or revenue - and Alexa just 450k, only 211 indexed pages).

Those would definitely be the very top end of the reseller range I think, if not ever higher than that, unless the site makes $4,000+ per month.

Domain based upon Google search results and the fact that it is a .com - I would say it is in the mid xx to low xxx range - however this is a one word dictionary .com so it will command a premium over that - though I can't see more than mid to high xxx, domain only, USD, reseller.

It is one of the category killer domains for sure, but the niche just doesn't seem very popular - none of the terms gets a great deal of exact searches - though the EPC is pretty good for most of them.

I should have clarified that was priced for end users. You're probably right about overvaluing the domain, but like I said it's difficult to value when you know what's attached.

The site is ranking high in Google.co.uk for 'prefab', 'prefab homes', 'prefab houses'. Businesses are selling prefab products for low-mid £xx,xxx. An end user could make a nice ROI with a mid £xx,xxx investment.

the niche just doesn't seem very popular - none of the terms gets a great deal of exact searches - though the EPC is pretty good for most of them.
Google global searches for January:

prefab - 823,000
prefab homes - 135,000
prefab buildings - 110,000
prefab houses - 33,100

Perhaps I am being UK-centric. Is there a more popular term used in the US for prefabricated buildings?
