If there a couple of so-so domains that I found in say ClubDrop lists that I do not think will get picked up or bid on by anyone ... what are my chances of them coming available for me to register and how long would this usually take?

Thanks in advance,

John

I wouldn't take a chance if you really can't live without it....but many times i've waited and gotten it for a registration fee and a few times missed out because of that. Buydomains and others are always gunning for names. If you don't really want the domain and it's not worth paying an additional auction fee then don't go after it in the first place. I've stopped wasting time and money with mediocre names.

Yes, you'll have to take your chances. But for half-decent names, I would use eNom or GoDaddy. And if you are not even willing to spend that amount on the domains, why bother registering them? ;)

Well thats true 99.9% of the time ... but if you have come up with a name for a website or company, etc... that you are pretty positive no one else would want the domain then I feel is worth the chance not having to pay any extra fees for it. Its not anything set in stone, and I still have to choose between 4 or 5 other name ideas. The rest of them arent even registered, so Im sure I'll get atleast one of them if i go ahead with this. :)

Do you have any idea how long it takes where i could register it if it came available?

Thanks

Once you know the day that it will drop, you can try shortly after the drop starts, which is 1400 EST.

ok thanks cambler
