stamford.com, an inactive (and registrar-locked) domain had an admin email address of [email protected].

discovernet.net was just in Pending Renewal/Deletion at NSI, and appears to have been auctioned off by SnapNames/NSI as an expired name.

stamford.com just changed from registrar-lock to "Active".

Knowledgeable readers can make their own conclusions.

There are a few domains I really want that the admin email address domain is actually available.

I am seriously thinking of buying the domains and keep them in limbo just to protect this from happening.

I forgot to tell you that I once had the domain of the admin email of a domain that this month has 32098 overture with extension. :)
Maybe I am stupid...

perhaps I'm missing something. If he has the admin address, dosn't he also need access to the account to unlock the domain?

I know three mid $x.xxx domains in this situation.
someone registered them using [email protected] and domain.com is in an auction ...wich will probably end for low $xxxx.
there must be other cases as well.
DO NOT think about it, getting a domain like this is theft.

I think it is ACTUAL , prosecutable theft... and a clean paper trail to your door. If the domain owner was that dumb in the first place, do you think they will pursue the domain theft? ....

I think this thread might give some ideas to the wrong people. A simple as it may sound, not everyone knows this.

Maybe you should delete a few posts..

I'm not saying that I would do it.. It is CLEAR that it is theft and with a ready trail to your door.

DNS listed at NSI:

NS1.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
NS2.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM

Probably won't get into the SnapNames system until the end of November. (That is only if the new owner of discovernet.net doesn't assume control.)

Also found 368,590 other domains listed at Name Intelligence's Reverse IP for discovernet.net (216.168.224.70); have no idea what this means!?

I wasn't referring to you, it was a general response towards a few posts in the thread.

Why go looking for trouble?

(When, enough of it comes at you by accident.)

I would not want the reputation of being a domain hijacker.

And, because of the internet, your reputation is forever.

Additional point, sometimes people go nuts. Do you really want to
worry about someone shooting you or your family to settle a score?

I guess it boils down to that old saying

"Treat others as you would like to be treated."
