Said jokingly....but seriously I would love to go just to meet him and see what he's all about. I was excited about getting this chance until I read the price tags involved....especially for non-board members which put it far out of my reach at that point. Did not like his blatantly rude comments on that page. In my opinion that's just unprofessional and reflects badly on the conference as a whole. That's when I knew he was somehow involved with this.
From everything I hear about Rick you will either love him or hate him. Guess since I cannot attend his meetings or visit his board I cannot make an evaluation for myself other than listening to credible testimonials on either sides of the aisle.
I do know for one that Yakov is a hypocrite for saying bad things about him when he's done worse stuff and been quite rude to people on this forum. I dare say Yakov would be the last person I would want as a spokesman at a conference or to represent domainers as a whole. I am more curious about where you got your money in the first place though....I mean cause we know how Rick got his. Maybe you can be the topic of the next DnJournal article and tell us about the real Yakov?

Yakov is right in the fact that not all the big players will be at this conference nor will very many small or middle of the road players....the conference I would like to see is one which is open to anyone and everybody and is a lot more affordable. One where issues like niche marketing, alternative TLDS (info, biz, us), search engine optimization, success stories, WLS debate, and more are discussed (i'm sure you guys can come up with plenty of other good suggestions also)....and where companies like Verisign, Enom, BuyDomains, Afilias, Neulevel, and others come together to speak about things other than traffic but about domains and the internet in general. I am sure some of these will be addressed in Florida but I would like to see a more friendly conference where both sides of the aisle can come together whether or not they agree with Rick.
Maybe the tapes will be available for puchase for $5,000? :-D
