I have been able to get some very nice short one-word domains with the .bz and .cc extensions.

What are your thoughts on the future of these extensions?

The very fact that you are still able to get those nice one-worders might have already shed some light on how OTHERS think about these ccTLDs (and their future).

With good one word domains available in REAL global extensions like .info and .biz I wouldn't bother with those obscure country codes. You have a FAR better chance of making money in extensions that are official global TLD's rather than pretenders.

Of the three .cc does have some value. I would say ballpark 1 / 100 of the value of the corresponding .com. If the corresponding .com is worth in the 6 or 7 figures then the .cc is worth taking a look at.

Of the "obscure cctlds" the one that does make sense is .tv. The trick there is to find a domain that is

1) A good domain and 2) not priced out of the market as a "premium registration"
