I've found an unregistered .info domain which is the name of a medical drug (thenameofthedrug.info). Would it be possible to do anything at all with this domain name? I was thinking about making an information site about the drug. Would it just be a waste of time and money to register the domain and develop an information site?

Dont bother. A guy who reg/d alot of medication/medical .info and .biz lost most all of them to the company. Not worth the time or effort imo.

Without any hint of commercial use (not even adsense), it might be. But the
trademark holder (if any) might still make a fuss.

Yeah, it sounds like it would just be a waste of time and money.... too bad since it feels like a perfect fit for a .info

Drug companies DO chase their domains. I recently lost/handed over one, the thread is here in this forum.

Yeah, seems like it's better to spend time on something else :)
