Hi

I own WebmasterTalk.co.uk and Webmaster-Talk.co.uk. I will soon be developing the domains as a webmaster discussion forum, but was wondering which of the domains should I use as my 'primary' domain, e.g. The one that I submit to search engines, and advertise in general. Should I use the hyphenated version as it will be read as two seperate words by major search engines, or use the non-hyphenated version?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

The search engines don't care about hyphens. that's a user consideration, especially when building traffic. People will forget there's supposed to be a hyphen there and it's easier to spell without remembering the hyphen... so... to answer your question briefly... use the non-hyphenated name for promotion.

non-hyphenated is almost always better IMHO.

Google does. Since I started using hyphens in my filenames on another one of my sites, my search engine results have increased dramatically, with numerous 1st page results. :)

Thanks for your replies both of you, greatly appreciated.
