Xbox.net is a fully developed Xbox community site.

With a dedicated team of volunteers the site essentially runs itself and requires minimal supervision.

The goal when developing this site was to build the community base of the site and attract a strong following. The site was developed with minimal advertisements and instead focused on special promotions. As an example Xbox.net gave away over 15,000 free magazine subscriptions and was paid $0.50 per subscription given away. Because of our minimal advertising on the site there are opportunities for new owners to greatly advance the daily revenue.

Alternatively the new owners may choose to completely redevelop the site into something of their desire.

Asking price is in the xx,xxx – xxx,xxx area.

Trades will be considered.

Is the next console by microsoft going to retain the xbox name? If it does, then this name will continue to be valuable for a while. But if not, then this domain won't have value for too much longer.

I offered $25k but I believe they want more and maybe rightly so. I think 25k is all I am willing to invest in the site...maybe someone else can come in with me on this one.

You have a good point. As far as I know, suggested NextGen Xbox names are:

Xbox 2
Xbox Next
Next Box
Xenon

I personally think that I've listed these names in order of likelyhood of being the final name. So to me, it looks promising that xbox.net will retain it's value to a large extent.

:)

Just thought that I would add that we are open to discussing payment plan type deals if 100% financing is not available upfront.

My belief is that the next xbox will have the term "xbox" in it, the brand is too strong to start over in my opinion. Xbox.net will retain value when the next console comes out based on the community, the site will have to be modified to incorporate two different consoles, but the cross over will work very well.

We have never heard anything from Microsoft good or bad.

Judging by the number of xbox sites on the internet and the fact that they link to many xbox sites, it would appear that they have no issues with domain names that are about xbox and in fact encourage them. The only wipo cases that involve "xbox" are the ones that were pointed to adult content.

A.G if you get $xx,xxx for those sites you might want to think about upgrading to a platinum membership and starting your own thread.

Smith, very nice site. If I had the dough I would definitely consider the purchase. Its a little outta my range though.
