I'm thinking of developing this as a political, current events, op-ed news and discussion site/blog. Do you think this is a good name for this?

I think it is a good combo to brand your site with. It's fairly well known in the collegiate scene and has an organizational ring to it. I don't think it's monetary value is much as it is, but it sounds good to me for political and current news, events, and a forum.

"Thought" is a bit 'abstract', to me ... which of course limits the re-sale upside, as Mythios mentions. I'd have to appraise it currently at $25 - $37.50 U.S. However, I do like your development scenario.

If I may, I'd like to quickly revise my comments above; ALONG with the plural version of this name ("thoughts"), I think the value could be increased by a good percentage. Also, the development option as you described is both timely and very creative. No bull.
