Well, there are about 1,000 .mx domains listed for sale through Sedo right now.
And, the price hasn't gone all the way down yet.

.

none of the names on my radar have been taken since Friday, and its been two price drops

except one name that was available is now coming up as 'invalid' every time i search it, which has me a little disgruntled. What is the deal with the 'invalid' domains? I've got a list of 34 invalid domains, and most of them are top keywords

It probably means they're already taken.

The "invalid" means they are reserved or have been registered. I have 15 names now and they showed up as such immediately after I regged them.

well, some names come up as "is already registered" while others come up as "invalid" .. so I assume there is a difference, no?

Maybe the registry is updating, but the domain has already been registered so it's an invalid selection?

.

The one I registered shows up as invalid, though it's in my account and resolving.

Looks like the price is dropping $20 every two days.

thereabouts. i think it was actually 3 days, $189 was Saturday, now Tuesday is $169. the drop before that was two days (thursday - saturday)

I have just grabbed two more, have six total now

i just regged one and then checked it and.... it then gave the:

*****.MX
is an invalid domain name.

The same message appears for one that i regged a few days ago...

So i guess it just means that you just missed it within a few days.

good luck to all.... it will be interesting to see what we have all regged after the last price drop and everyone is finished buying....

ciao

Yes, because no one right now seems to want to discuss .mx ;)

Picked up another this afternoon, this time a spanish one-word.

Now $114 at goddady, picked up a one word male first name.

got one at 89$, will post name as soon as i start dev...

does anyone here have any experience with a CMS in Espanol?

ie- drupal, xoops, joomla or ?????

for english i prefer drupal over joomla since it is faster, but am looking for opinions from developers that have blazed the trail....

thanks

Hi David,

I doubt about the speed difference between joomla or drupal, you should be concern on your skill set to support one of them. I used both CMS, but I prefer to use Joomla because it's easy for me to manage.

starting to see some traffic on the first domains i bought last week. getting about 1-3/day typein

domainers checking them maybe? can you tell where they are coming from?

I bought a first name, Mexican name that is getting a trickle of traffic from Mexico and Spain so far.

Still lots of good keywords to be had, price will hit $50 soon.

was it Fernando? :)

Its possible the traffic is domainers. they are all type-ins. they are coming from many different countries. the word is kind of a crossover though, it is a Spanish word that is also commonly used as a slang term in English

I think Cyprus Hill rapped about it once
