Donny Donnie Don whats up with Parked?

I just noticed that at the end of the day my stats show one thing. The next day, the stats, REVENUE, is DRASTICALLY reduced! I'm starting to swing with the other side now. What I posted before goes by the wayside cos when I came back it was reduced 30% or so.

Raider - TonyFloyd has a domain that is in a very small market. Not many advertisers, but those that do advertise fight they fight to be the top. When you have clicks that are going for $3 to $5 a click and there are only 7 adverisers, it's easy for some to only pay for 5-10 clicks a day. I know, because one of the advertisers is a company that my uncle owns. So when there average number of clicks per day for this specific keyword is 1.5 clicks per day and they all of a suddent get 20+ clicks per day, the price will drop.

This example was just for TonyFloyd, it wasn't for anybody else unless you are getting clicks on rare keywords.

The overall problem for most of the people who are having issues is completely based on the TQ system. I do not have an exact reason why it's doing what it's doing, but if Yahoo is telling me to pay you $50, that's what we are doing. The same as we have since day one.

We still don't know exactly what caused 30% of our people to start getting paid more and 20% to get paid less. We are even thinking about changing out estimation system on Friday if the numbers don't start looking more accurate. We are doing wht we can, I know for some of you it may not seem like it, but we really are doing whatever we possibly can.

I agree that the TQ system has caused lots of issues. The reversals/reductions in revenue occur only with domains that had clicks with lesser "value"; the quality ones remain intact. My question is, does Yahoo keep the difference to themselves or credits it back to the ad buyers?

I will say that I did self arbitrage from 3 accounts in the past few days. I went to my Yahoo account, bid on one unique term for a certain amount. Went to 3 random domains, searched and clicked and everything calculated exactly as I had expected they would. Two of the domains were paid less and I was charged less. One domain was in an account that was a 10 and I was charged full price for that one. Now this is a very small test. So from that it seems fine. I ran the initial test on Friday and then on Sunday. I plan on running it again tomorrow if I have time.

So it seems like based purely on the information I have it is right, Yahoo is discounting and passing the money back to the advertisers. Unfortunately 1 of the domains was discounted and I have no idea why. I have since sent in a few emails and I'm still waiting for an update.

Please behave or else. If you are not happy with the service then go somewhere else. Donny just works there so don't try to post personal attack or give him a hard time on something that he can't do. Be cool and professional. No one forces you to list your names with parked!

I have to say that Donny is working really hard here. He personally reviewed my entire portfolio to see why my ctr & rpc was dropping...he made some suggestions and both the ctr & rpc is getting a little better for me. Donny did notice some strange drops with a couple names and is still looking into what is happening.

I do appreciate the personal attention and sincere desire to have my names perform as well as they can.

My revenue started to pick up again in january, december was terrible.
RPM is at 800 USD while in the last year the average was over 1K USD so I guess I lost around a 20%.

Tony - I was giving an example of how I was trying to verify if there was a problem or not with anything Yahoo was doing. I verified that there really wasn't a problem based purely on knowing exactly what the price of a click was.

Doesn't really mean anything as those clicks could be coming from Backwoods North Korea or another low paying country.

Unfortunately I witness some large and persistent drop in PPC, into the single digits since mid December.

Will a Democrat president save us? Oh, we have Cloverfield to worry about now, too

Parked should implement a system that allows publishers to display alternative advertisements if its advertisers are not willing to pay for traffic from certain countries.

They do something like that, allowing you to specifiy a url to send traffic to from unwanted countries.

What concerns me is that after the usual adjustments, not only clicks are adjusted but also the PPC drops. This is highway robbery from Yahoo and its notorious TQ scheme.
