i don't know about the .us extension... but i can see this being in the low $x,xxx and possibly mid $x,xxx in the future.

I see good development potential but also resale potential to someone with a lot of content like corn/ethanol on a green site. Why not develop thyself and deliver traffic as a leased or traffic domain?
Now is the time to build a nice ethanol site, directory of states and businesses.
What could it hurt you to develop?
i agree with xxx or MORE is developed with addons like traffic and keyword and alexa improvement.

probably xxx-xxxx. I once owned the .net and received quite a bit for it when I sold it.
