POETRY.INFO

How much do you think this domain is worth? I think it is worth £3000 ($5000+). It could be worth more if it was more developed.

Am I talking the right sort of price or am I underestimating its value?

I'd be interested to know what anyone thinks.

5K is too high. Not a lot of money in poetry, and most people know what it is, and there would be close to zero type-ins....I'm going with 1K. It is a good name to develop though.

I'd bet around $5k as well, but that might be high. "Poetry contest" has a top bid of $.50 at Overture and there are some affiliate terms for that.

I'd consider $5,000 for my blogs.info domains, though, so think about which one of those is better for relative value.

Enduser wise, it could go up to 3 - 5 k .. People know what poetry is, but people really dont know about all the different types of poetry.

This name could make a great information + forum website.

Could definitely get 5k. Takes one right buyer: poetry enthusiast, publishing co., writer, speculator. Big OVT, much interest.

i'd say 5K is about right, but it could be higher - their are many different forms of poetry, and once you got people to the site they could spend hours!!!!

I actually thought he said most people don't know what it is, that's why I quoted him, but I read it wrong.

Anyway, very nice name!

Funny you posted this just now.. I was checking some overture a few days ago and poems and poetry are both huge.. just massive!

Definitely one to hold on to until you feel happy with the price. I'd say high $x,xxx to low $xx,xxx to an end user. Mid $x,xxx otherwise.

Good luck! :)

I was laughing at the logic:

"Because this term is so popular and widely known, the domain is worth less than it otherwise might be"

To all you jokers who laugh at the 1K appraisal and insist that the name is worth 5K, I would be willing to wager that you wouldn't give the guy 5K for it right now. Obviously, much worse names than this can be sold to end-users for 5k and more, so if that is your reasoning then good for you. I am pretty sure if he put a BIN price of 5K on the name and sent you an email that you would be quiet as a mouse. I would even bet that you wouldn't give him $3,500 for it right now....so, if my hunch is correct then your appraisal is bullshit.

Why are you challenging other people's appraisals, and what's it have to do with buying it? Do you want to buy everything you appraise? You say 1K, others say 5K, that's what this is all about. They are not "jokers" and have no reason to appraise high just for fun.

woah, slow down there buddy...

You need to do your research, look at past .info sales, before you start saying stuff like that. I myself have brokered a few .info sales over $4000 that aren't nearly as good as this name. On SEDO one could probably get $5000 for this name within 3 days. Just because I am not ready to fork over thousands for this name doesnt mean its not valuable.

And I never appraise for end-users, I am positive this name would fetch $10,000 easy to another knowledgable reseller. Please get some facts before you make a fool out of yourself WDDog. This is one great name!

Listen here. I offered an appraisal and you ridiculed it, so, as far as I am concerned I can make a rebuttal if I wish. You should research your own demeaning posts...I told the gentleman that he had a nice name. You appraised the name at a higher number, but you chose to demean my appraisal, so I don't have to have any respect for you at all.

Appraisals could be done this way:
I would buy it now for max. $500
I think someone could buy for $3K
