"I'm sure Howard meant to clear up Hal's implication that he "left" the board, which
was not the case. Howard's statement was factual, not "shadow-casting.""

I LEFT the board, whats the big deal? The place got to the point where if you weren't there to kiss Ricks @ss then anything you said, especially if you disagreed with him, ended up being a sh*t storm headed your way.

There used to be a lot of talent on that board and a lot of it was near the base of the pyramid, it definitely was all up top, it just unfortunate it became a place people couldnt feel comfortable sharing their thoughts for fear of being labeled. Thats part of why I was happy when i got out of highschool.... nevermind to be thrown back into that crap in a "professional" forum.

I hope everyone is going well though, there were a lot of old friends that were on there a while back :) GL with business everyone, and enjoy.

** edited out a couple cuses (dont post her much so dont know how liberal the mods are) and added another thought :)

I dont understand why Hal and Howard constantly feel the need to open their mouths and attack each other. In all fairness Howard you usally start, always the same way, and Hal always replies with the same thing... either get over it or get new material before this place ends up a bunch of big kids in a sandbox too.

I may be unethical --or not....such as myself and John Zuccarini, i

I'm not sure why you would think that putting zuccarinni in any association whatsoever with
you as strengthening your position.

All his name conjures up is the image of someone so unethical and twisted that he would intentionally assault children with porn....I don't think anyone would fault Howard for anything he would say about that guy.

Besides being a complete scumbag...he has dealt us all a blow by helping to ruin the legitimacy and image of our business...if you want to be looked at like a lowlife cybersquatter/pornographer ( disclaimer: doesn't apply to all who do adult not directed to children ) then I guess thats your choice...

And as someone posted earlier you are judged by the company you keep.

Looks as if Verisign got whacked - can't register .com or .net right now.

The storm is blowing hard here, I'm a little south of them, but it's right over their head. Interesting how our business depends on the weather.

Zuccarini's character and/ or nefarious deeds is not the issue.

For the purpose of argument, Howard's clients could be Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden.

The point IS that a lawyer has a fiduciary (trust) relationship with ALL clients.

"Some folks who have left the board such as myself..."

Seems this all came about as you misrepresented yourself about how it came about that you are no longer on Rick's board and how you & others have "different opinions" of the board. I can respect that you and the others have their opinions & experiences but alas your experiences don't reflect the majority's and have no bearing on this conference.

All your original was post was is an attempt to bash Rick and the conference...and you were called on your statement. Maybe it would have been better if you didn't crap in other people's threads....then no one would bring up your dirty laundry.

There is PLENTY of dirty laundry. Lots and lots of it.

Ever wonder why George K. is so quiet about this matter? I do.

And it's very strange that he is never attacked by any of the board.

Very odd, isn't it?

That sounds like a fairly accurate description of the politics.

I'm supposed to keep this quiet, but I've heard a rumor that they are having male strippers at this "professional" conference. Between the "people Rick hates" and the "How to kiss ass online" conferences, George K will jump out of a big cake in a tight speedo, shout "surprise", and do the macarena on the podium. $5,000 will buy you a lot of manhood! :)

Go George go!
