Carl:We issued ahh....30 billion in 7 year notes this morning and yields are down. I mean the vigilantes, we always say, if they are so worried, why are they hiding?

Damon: Who did we issue those to?

Car: Whoever bought them. I mean the... point is supply came online and it was absorbed....

Damon: Who was that?

Carl: .....in a week where risk was off.

Damon: Who bought those bonds?

Becky: Who did buy it? Was it all the Fed? You think nobody bought?

Damon: Who bought those bonds?

Carl: Could have been the Fed, could have been the chinese japanese.

Damon: I dont think so. I don't think sales are taking place. Thats why QE2 Exists. They are issuing debt and printing paper and printing money because there is not the absorbtive capacity of the world to absorb the debt, and thats where we are.

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/fe...et-intervention-11-years-effects-start-fizzle

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE TO INTERVENE LIKE THIS ???? THE RULE OF LAW HAS BEEN USURPED !!!

P.S - THIS INTERVENTION IS NOT GONNA WORK - THE USD SITS NEAR TECHNICAL LOWS - $75.5 & $72 ARE THE LAST LINES OF SUPPORT

---------- Post added at 10:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:34 AM ----------

Just look at the Middle East. Social unrest can be triggered really quick and
before you know it people start to protest. Empty stomaches are a good
motivator for the sheeple to riot. I don't live to wait for STHF but I am just
realistic about the debt problems around the world. Do you know that right
now the world is flooding the markets with Japanese Yens? Billions on billions
of them. At the same time I see a Japanese man on TV complaining that his
money doesn't buy him food. (such an event can start the distrust in fiat money)

Hyperinflation might be closer than YOU think or dare to think?
It could (?) start in Japan and than spread to China, Brazil,
Europe and the USA.

Just as quick and unexpected as the protests in the Middle East started,
the TRUST in $$$ and €€€ can disappear in a short timeframe.

I am not joking and I know that you are smart enough to understand
the points that I am making.

Load up on canned foods, water and domain names before it is too late.

Silver at $43 and Gold almost at $1500

U.S. dollar gravitating towards below 72

we are gonna have a MAJOR market event in the next few months

Buckle Up and keep pouring ur fiat into blue chip domains

Domains are only going to become even more popular with oil at $200 a barrel soon

Everybody will be telecommuting in a few years

Rick Latona: Saying It With Graphics-- We Are BROKE

Everyone is hating on Rick Latona. For who wants to be woken up in the middle of a great dream? Even the big guys who have been quietly dropping up to 1/3 of their portfolios are still listening to the band as the Titanic sinks (Latona may be vindicated when this reality shocks everyone in next quarter's VeriSign report). Meanwhile... the problem is much bigger than domaining.

Here are two graphics that each say the same thing and a third that makes another point that may get through to those who tune out the pundits on TV. Get the point? The graphics are taken from a MUST-READ blog by CNBC's Chris Martenson post called "Death By Debt." He argues that "one of the conclusions that I try to coax, lead, and/or nudge people towards is acceptance of the fact that the economy can't be fixed. By this I mean that the old regime of general economic stability and rising standards of living fueled by excessive credit are a thing of the past. At least they are for the debt-encrusted developed nations over the short haul -- and, over the long haul, across the entire soon-to-be energy-starved globe."

I agree that the debt crisis will cause global upheaval and chaos. The question is when, and how domains will be affected when the sh!t hits the fan.
Now unless the Internet disappears and we go back to the Stone Age I would say there will always be demand for quality domains. As the economy deteriorates, the supply of crap and unsustainable domains is eliminated first.

Lord Byron the fourth - what on earth are you doing in a domainer forum then?

Sorry but Rick's decision to pull out due to a much smaller than expected profit margin for his business does not reflect in any way the market conditions for domaining. I've had many, MANY sales so far this year and last year was stellar as well.

Oh, and I'm not the only one saying this.

Acro,

First, I still believe most domainers are losers with VERY little idea of how to take advantage of the ENORMOUS opportunities that exist in domain names. A portfolio of crap domain names is a portfolio of nothing. quantity<quality.

Second, I believe there is great, enormous, huge potential in domains if you buy blue chip quality domains that can be developed into a monetized stream. For example, when I was a kid, I collected Action Comics 1-100; Spiderman 1-100, etc, etc. Today Action Comics # 1 is $5,000,000. Amazing Spiderman # 1 is $100,000. Nobody cares about Action # 2 or Spiderman # 2. You always need to buy the best of the best. ALWAYS. The rest is junk.

Third, I believe that the Great Depression 2 will continue until 2033. Yes, 2033 !!!!.

Fourth, there is opportunity for great fortunes to be made in the domain space. It is just about buying QUALITY BLUE CHIP domains. ALWAYS the bottom line should be about development and monetization.

Conclusion - What I find so interesting about the domain space is the dynamic between old prejudices and true entrepreneurs. I don't intend to ruffle feathers. i just see the truth as I see it. And we live in interesting times.

I hope everybody had a nice 4th of July holiday. Hopefully many are starting to realize what is becoming SOOOOO increasingly obvious to anyone with a few brain cells. This economy is not in a cyclical downturn. This is a MAJOR secular downturn. I hope some of u domainers are true patriots and will fight for ur freedom and liberty. Otherwise, we are all done for. This governement will take every quality .com domain away from you in the name of the "generl welfare".

Jobs numbers today were another reminder to all u nay sayers.

The Main Stream media is lying to you. The Ministry of Propoganda is alive and well.

Raider maybe you should take a moment to read the words of your beloved Republican party today who voted overwhelmingly to support the largest Pentagon budget to date - $690 Billion. Funny how you so blindly pin all blame on the Democrats when your own party is as much OR MORE to blame for the financial situation America is currently in. Funny how MORE Democrats voted 'nay' than those fiscally responsible Republicans today...

Why is America in so much trouble - because of the blind support of the Raider-types.

America is in trouble because of this phony left/right debate perpetuated by the crony elites and the mainstream media. When the whole system fails, and it will . . . people will become less interested in this debate over how Washington should distribute the wealth - because there will be NONE to distribute.

When the Soviet empire collapsed it was at the peak of its military power too. Everything else was more or less in shambles.

You are a wise wise woman Katherine

I am afraid that it will be mostly the middle class that will pay

Gotta protect oneself with gold, silver, guns, seeds and quality .com domains for the future

Do you really think that if it comes down to a guns and seeds situation that domains will still be a valuable commodity? How do see online commerce taking place at that point, a bag of carrot seeds and a silver coin in trade for some web design work?
