When will the .me auction begin?

I put in for 43 .me domains. But like others here - just waiting for the auctions to start. Doesn't seem very well organized to me :(

I ve paid for one .me domain through godaddy and right now it says:

Pending Applicatio all details are under my name and there is also an expiry date,
does anyone knows whats this means?

Odd indeed to be testing this late. However here it is. I have 5 names that .me want. Although .me grammer is not the best. I hope my bids will be.

Best,
-JF

Maybe everyone interested in .me got exactly the names they wanted and don't need to go to auction. All 7 of us, yeah!

Just received confirmation of some of the .me I applied for

Looks like this will be another .asia-type cock up. Not sure about the .me thing. It was launched in the UK in 2002 and has had very little take up indeed.

Yes but wasn't that .me.uk ? So wouldn't have the same potential quality eg call.me.uk instead of call.me just my thought

Fair comment. Just an obscure comparison on my part.

An email reply from [email protected]:

Dear,

Landrush auction should start around 15 july, and your registrar will inform
you about all details regarding auction process.

Best regards,

Oh well, my 2 are still pending application. Guess they're going to auction. Kinda figured.

I just got confirmation on one of my choices, I feel a little lucky due to the 30K applications submitted. I hope to get at least one more of the five submitted. :cheesy:

i bought 10 domains and it looks as if they all are going to auction. oddly enough. kind of stupid the way its being handled. i just got 10 accounts that i have to verify and when i log in it doest tell me which domain its for. Anyone else have the same issue?

Yes. I agree. Kinda confusing. I used the same password for all 2 :-) of mine, so I couldn't screw it up..

In the meantime, why don't you guys stretch your vocal cords a little...here's an exercise you may find helpful:

Me...me...me...me...me...me...me!

lol.

".ewe, meet .me"

"Hi, .me, I'm .ewe"

"No, .ewe, I'm .me and you're .ewe"

"Yeah, that's what I said. Anyway, was good to meet you."

"Me, too, .ewe"

This is nuts. I have about 20 names going to auction. When I clicked to authorize... each one has a different customer number and code and I can not match them up as they all came to my inbox out of order. There is no logic to this at all as I am 1 customer and yet I have to match 20 codes with different customer numbers.

Have pity on anyone who registered a few hundred or more. They may have to outsource the signups to a team in Bangalore.

This will be fun to see. So, if I perhaps have a large amount of domains to bid on (I don't really!), will I lose out due to last-minute bidding; Will I most likely lose due to having to login each time.

Is that what they planned on? :upset:

Multiple browsers. Mozilla, IE, Firefox, Opera.

Or multiple monitors / computers / kvm switches WITH multiple browsers.

Maybe I am just stupid [or overly optimistic!] but I figured all those shopperIDs referred to the same account.

Why else would they support showing multple domain names in their auctions:

https://auctions.domain.me/recentSales.aspx

Sure be a good thing to know, one way of the other.

Oh, and zimpco, they are saying that every time there is a new 'high bid' they will extend the auction for 24 hours [instead of 5 minutes for snapnames and 10 minutes for SEDO?]. Yeah, some of these auctions could last for months....
