3 character names make good sub-domains or auxilliary/secondary domains.

Current market value is high $XX to low $XXX.

But as stated previously, it will go up in price as dot coms become more and more scarce.

Frankly I must say.. a name has a value only when it is developed.. a stupid dumb name can pull millions of traffic but a high quality name can't pull a shit. Is that high quality name worth it ??

Names that are easy to remember and spell are definately a plus and thus worth more.

I love it when people beg for appraisals and then get mad at people for taking the time to voice their honest opinions.

I agree...this guy has gotten lots of members to give honest opinions on his domain...and he gets Mad??

Sometimes, I cannot get one forum member to post some appraisal feedback on a quality domain name bought at auction for $XXXX. The thread starter should be glad people are sharing their knowledge and opinions.

As per the link above:

3-Number .com - $4800
3-Letter .com - $2500

I think those dollar values should be switched...3 letter .coms are almost always worth more than 3 number .coms

I like the name. I think it should be about 100$ now, and that's with no one actively approaching you for it.

Since there is all this "discussion" going on. I have a questionf or you DNf's.

What is worth more, a LLN that is obsecure, or a LLLL less obsecure.

And what is the going rate for random LLLL.com's ? Will they be valuable down the line, much like the forecast for this LNL is?

I would like to know from expert domainers : in which year it was possible to buy 3 letter domains for 100$ ? It may give a better idea of the possible price growth of 3 character domains, mine being A7C.com

A7C.com will not be worth more than $100 in the reseller marketing in the next 3 years at least.

3 letter .coms are much more useful and will always have much more value than "random" 3 character domains.

You are NEVER going to find an enduser for a name like this, meaning it will be passed back and forth by domainers until the end of time.
Don't know if that's entirely true. Of the top off my head i can think of v7n.com

But that NAME wasn't valuable until it was developed. You could say "8naj91ehanuano.com" has the potential to be worth more if developed.

There just isn't any reason this 3 char .com is worth more than any of the other 100,000+ similar names out there.

GT,

while I do take into consideration all kind of feedbacks and remarks, I don't understand how you can compare a " 8najougoeanero.com " with a 3 character domain containing 2 premium letters and a premium number

Being only made by 3 easy parts to remember, A7C has huge potential for marketing .......

Anyway, these are only my 2 cents...

About 2 years ago I remember seeing a guy selling off lots of LLN.com at the Afternic bazaar, some were bought up for under $30, and others never sold. I bought three and actually let two of them drop a year later. I remember ones like JS6, CM6 and WE9. Nowadays I don't see domains like that at those prices anymore.

Very interesting
A lot of appraisal requests gets no replies
This LNL.com has over 50 replies
It seems you bought it from the very succesful DN ebay trader domainclaimer
Presume you paid close to the BIN of $165 after the offer closed
You could do quick flip on TDNAM and get $250 or with patience you will defintely find an end user prepared to pay over $500
I have sold 100s of 3 char dot coms and I am convinced that for every 3 character dot com there is an end user somewhere

As I said, names like this will be passed from domainer to domainer to domainer.

The chance an enduser will come knocking is probably 2%.

my question was related to price evolution of 3 letters com during the last 5 years.

Any indication regarding that point ?

I think that people are still reading my thread because it ask for points of views and predictions about value in the next few years of 3 characters com
