If you actually go into the list of sites, you will see three icons after each listing.

(arrow) >, X, ?

If you click on the "?", it takes you to Jays Domain Tools WHOIS.sc

And fast.

I think most people who install that, already ignore parking pages.

The average user has no idea what a parking page is... I wouldn't worry too much.

unless ofcourse they integrate it with the new builds of browsers, and make it an inbuilt feature?
It is a disturbing news, and browsers do "get inspired" from one another...

pop up blockers are big in browsers.

Parental controls is typically an option.

I guess something like this could migrate into browsers easily.

There is auto detection capability.

When you view a page, many times a box pops up to let you know it is not considered to be a trusted, encrypted page.

Who knows.

Anything can happen.

The fact that it is out there should raise some concern.

I think it's a big violation of domain owners privacy and could damage their domain asset value signifigantly, I hope these f*ckfaces are ready for some class action lawsuits.

The corporation's information from the Pennsylvania department of State: link.

And here's the real reason behind this anti-parking project: to promote the DuckDuckGo search engine.

LONDON, England (CNN) -- As many as 400 people may have gotten sick after eating at a renowned Michelin-starred restaurant in England, health authorities said Friday. Blumenthal opened The Fat Duck in 1995, and it received three Michelin stars in 2004. The Health Protection Agency is investigating an outbreak of diarrhea and vomiting among diners who ate at The Fat Duck restaurant in Berkshire, run by award-winning chef Heston Blumenthal.

My sister and bro-in-law ate there 3 weeks ago - no problem with them.

Me too but it's just as easy for me to browse away from a parked page or a site blocked splash screen.

Exactly - it's a solution to a non-problem.

My concern on this side of the atlantic is congress, and DoC.

DoC and many big brand organizations are pissed at ICANN for not doing more to protect brands.

This offers a great solution to block domains that are TM violation and typos.

This would render those names useless.

Good generic and keyword rich domains would have no problem.

But I looked on that list and even saw my own geo's and keywords blocked.

a little over 500 downloaded in the time this broke, a little over 2000 total, 1900+ in a week but this is a new add-on.

Not worried. Seriously, does the majority of web users understand parked pages? Is there anyone in there right mind going to spend thousands telling people how much they benefit by downloading a free add on for a free browser?

Is this addon going to prevent virus infection? Will it deter the users porn surfing? Point being, there's no real benefit for majority of web users to be attracted towards this feature. They know what they know, that's the browser that came and comes with their computer (IE). IMO.
